- Internships provide qualified college students and adults with professional skills in various areas of museum operations and education. Scientific research internships are also available. High school students fulfilling an internship for their school should consider volunteering at the Academy.
- Eckelberry Endowment
- The Eckelberry Endowment supports the very best talent in wildlife art through the Eckelberry Fellowship.
- Böhlke Endowment
- The Bhlke Memorial Endowment Fund supports graduate student and recent postdoctoral research in Ichthyology.
- Gallagher Fellowship
- The John J. & Anna H. Gallagher Fellowship supports original postdoctoral or sabbatical research on the systematics of microscopic invertebrates with priority for the study of rotifers.
- Jessup and McHenry Awards
- These two awards are available to students wishing to conduct systematics studies at the postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral levels under the supervision or sponsorship of a member of the curatorial staff of the Academy.
