Family Programs

Families and children can watch live animal shows, create nature-inspired crafts, celebrate birthdays with butterflies, have a sleepover with dinosaurs, sign up for Summer day camp or watch scientists at work. (see Family Programs)

Festivals

Join us for four special weekends during the year when we celebrate bugs, fossils, shells, and the Earth. Our next festival is Bug Fest, August 14 and 15, 2010.

Scouting

Girl and boy scouts can qualify for badges, pins or try-its during our weekend workshops or have a sleepover with dinosaurs on a Safari Overnight.

The Academy has a long association with local clubs and societies interested in birds, fossils, insects, plants, shells, and other wonders of the natural world.
