Scouting at The Academy

The Academy offers Day Workshops and Safari Overnights (camp-ins or sleepovers) for boy scouts (Cub Scouts, Webelos and Boy Scouts) and girl scouts (Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts.

Fees, Registration & Cancellations

Call 215.299.1060 to register for either Badge Days or Safari Overnights. Please note that the Academy does not provide the actual Scout Badge.

Day Workshops

The fees per scout are $8.00 for the workshop and $6.50 for museum admission. Workshop fees are due upon registration. Admission fees are due upon arrival. Admission fees for adults are $7.50 and due upon arrival. Members do not pay for admission. [Learn more.]

The Environmental Science Merit Badge is an exception. Its fees per scout are $10.00 for the workshop and $6.50 for museum admission. Again, members do not pay admission.

A final headcount is due one month prior to the workshop; any cancellation after this date will not be refunded. Depending on availability, registration can be made until one week before the Badge Day.

Badge Day workshops are in the morning (10:15 am - 12:15 pm) or in the afternoon (1:30 pm - 3:30 pm).

Safari Overnights

The fee is $40 per scout and $35 per adult. (Fees includes snack, breakfast and next-day admission.)

Safari Overnights require a $10 deposit/person upon registration. The balance is due one month prior to the date of the Safari Overnight; cancellations after this deadline will be subject to a $10 cancellation fee/person. Any cancellations made the week of the Safari Overnight will not be refunded.
