Philadelphia Geek Awards 2011

Philadelphia Geek Awards

The 1st Annual Philadelphia Geek Awards (held on Friday, August 19, 2011) was the first official awards ceremony honoring outstanding achievements in Philadelphia's vibrant geek community.

From indie game development to creative publicity & marketing, local techie events to comic book illustration, there are nineteen categories with close to five dozen nominees. Winners are chosen by a panel of geek judges (aka Geekadelphia.com). It is a black tie, red carpet event, with the Academy's “geeky” collections on display and exhibits open.

This year's Geek Awards is set for Friday, August 17, 2012. Select winners and nominees of this years Philadelphia Geek Awards will go join the “Academy of Geeks & Sciences,” a group of local geek experts that will help choose this year's nominees.
