This program, co-sponsored by the Green Co-op/Condo Initiative, features knowledgeable professionals who will discuss practical resources available to help us as we transform ‘that old toxic condo,’ home or office in to a healthier, more environmentally friendly space.

“Microturbines: Cutting Edge Alternative Power For Your Building”
The microturbine is a promising technology for distributed co-generation of electricity and heat that offer substantial improvements in energy efficiency, emissions, and costs. This program, sponsored by the Green Condo/Coop Initiative in partnership with the Academy’s Center for Environmental Policy, will explore the application of microturbines in buildings. (more…)

The Green Condo Initiative (GCI) is a coalition of Greater Philadelphia area condo and co-op owners. We address issues that are important for both environmental and economic sustainability including, energy costs per unit and per building, policy changes and initiatives, waste streams, efficiency of operating systems, and more.
