Family Field Trips and Workshops

The Academy invites you and your family to share in one or more of these fun and educational field trips and workshops that are held on selected weekends throughout the year. They are designed for children ages 7 and up.

  • Sustainable Chocolate Day

    Sunday Nov 2 12:00 PM-2:00 PM

    Join the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University and 12th Street Catering for Sustainable Chocolate Day. Melted varieties of chocolate will flow through the museum’s commons room, and guests will receive a box of delicious treats for dipping. Learn how to recycle your Halloween chocolate into fondue, and find out more about the different types of chocolate.

    The Academy of Natural Sciences and 12th Street Catering will offer visitors the chance to warm up with the ultimate hot chocolate beverage. Try something new with our Mexican hot chocolate or our soy and agave hot cocoa.
