- Watch Fossil preparators as they reveal a new species of Patogonian titanosaur.

- Look for bargains from fossil dealers, see educational displays, have your face painted or get a dinosaur tattoo. (in the Commons, Ground Floor)
- Fossil Hunt
- Kids can search for—and keep—real fossils.

- Guided Dino Tours
- Learn the stories behind the Mesozoic creatures in Dinosaur Hall.

- Make Your Own Dino Discoveries
- Play games and do hands-on activities designed for the junior paleontologist of the family (in Outside In, Third Floor)
- Mystery Fossil
- Guess the mystery fossils taken from the Academy’s own collection.

- Sea Scorpions
- View specimens of eurypterids, or “sea scorpions,” from our Invertebrate Paleontology Collection. (in Dinosaur Hall)

- Trilobite Races
- Pick a winner as trilobite hot rods race to extinction!

- Dinosaurs may be extinct, but some of their relatives are still alive and kicking. Meet some of the birds and reptiles that call dinosaurs “family.” (in the Auditorium)
- 11 am: Drawing Dinosaurs with Bob Walters
- Take a class from dinosaur artist Bob Walters.
(in Dinosaur Classroom, at the back of Dinosaur Hall) - 12:30 pm: “How to Paint What Doesn't Exist”
- James Gurney, the author and artist of the Dinotopia series, will demonstrate his method of “Imaginative Realism.” James Gurney will sign books following the talk.
(The talk will be in the Auditorium, book signing will be at Science Live.) - 1 pm: Drawing Dinosaurs with Bob Walters
- Take a class from dinosaur artist Bob Walters.
