Eminent botanical figure in 19th century America and the only botanist to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Employed many collectors and consummated many exchange deals with other botanists. In furthering this purpose, he identified specimens for other herbaria. Our papers consist of letters, identification lists and a series of notes on the Zaccheus Collins correspondence at the Academy of Natural Science. These notes embody many human interest comments about the authors in the Collins list.
