<p>The correspondence found in the Department of Vertebrates is in part signed by Wharton Huber and in part by Witmer Stone, and pertains to the administration of the Department for the years included. It has been assigned
under Wharton Huber's name to distinguish it from the Stone correspondence which treats the history of ornithology.</p>
<p>The signers number 643 and the items have been calendared thru the letter &#8220;L&#8221;.</p>
