The original title-page reads: “Table dez Planches enluminéez d'Histoire Naturelle de M. D'Aubenton, avec les denominations de M. M. de Buffon, Brisson, Edwards, Linneus et Latham, precedé d' une Notice des Principaux Ouvrages Zoologiques enluminées par M. Boddaert, Med. Doct... a Utrecht, 1783.” Casey Woods states that it was a very rare publication and in 1874, in London, W. B. Tegetmeier edited and published a reprint, which is described as being an exact copy, with the original title-page. The paper on which the manuscript is made is the same blue used by T. B. Wilson and is water-marked 1850 C. Ansell. The transcript is from the library of Thomas B. Wilson, with his personal bookplate and his characteristic binding. Wilson died in 1865, so the manuscript was certainly prepared between 1850 and 1865. The hand is not identified, but resembles that of T. B. Wilson, so it may have been copied by him, when on a visit to Europe.
