<p>Swiss physician and naturalist, Sterki became interested in Protozoa and minute shells, the Sphaeriidae. His large collection was obtained by the
Carnegie Museum at Sterki's death. One letter is dated March 7, 1891, addressed to H. A. Pilsbry, in which he discusses Pupidae and a writing entitled, &#8220;A New Angitrema?&#8221;, of three pages and one plate of <emph render="italic">Angitrema ohioensis, </emph>with 11 penciled figures.</p>
