<p>The initiator of the binomial system of scientific names for plants and animals left very little manuscript material except that in Upsala and the great mass purchased by the British Museum. This fragment, presented by Thomas Meehan, June 19, 1900 carries a certification of authenticity, signed at Leipzig, March 15, 1845, by Dr. T. G. Fl&#252;gel, U. S. Consul. Gives descriptions of <emph render="italic">Crotalus horridus, Boa constrictor, Boa canina. </emph>4 p.</p>
