Included are three items about the Philadelphia area, (1) dates for flowering of plants (2) first appearance of flowers and (3) weather conditions and bird records of 1888. The diaries refer to collecting in the Orinoco River region, in northwestern Alberta, in Bermuda, Jamaica and Venezuela.

All but one in the hand of Stewardson Brown, that of the Orinoco trip being queried. We know he was a member of the party, and that it could not be the writing of either Francis Bond (on authority of his son James) or of the taxidermist, so it is being classed with the journals of Brown.
