This collection was assembled by E. A. Rau and later deposited in the Academy's Department of Botany. There is a list (in part) in Rau's handwriting, with only 100 numbers entered, but a complete list of the botanists has been prepared to accompany this guide. The glass, negatives are each wrapped, with the name of the botanist on the outside, but within the small package there is often information as to the source of the particular photograph used.
