Mrs. Janish drew the figures for Leroy Abrams' Illustrated Flora of the Pacific States, vol. 3, 1951 in which F. W. Pennell's text on the Scrophulariaceae was incorporated. Because Pennell liked the drawings which Mrs. Janish prepared for him then, he engaged her to draw the figures of the plants of that family for his proposed work on the monograph of western Scrophulariaceae which was never published. The drawings are in pen and ink or in the first pencil draft, all labeled as to genus and species on the verso. Also 24 others, unnamed.
