Zoologist, physiologist, biochemist and student of animal luminescence, these letters were written about insects, particularly those which give off light, and mostly written to F. A. McDermott. Two from a relative of Harvey's, Ulric Dahlgren, treat of the same subject. Two others deal with the author's evaluation of the Academy's library.
