This is to be found in the front of Linné's Species Plantarum, 1753, vol. 1 (QK91 S61, 1753). The Linné volume which came to us in 1907 from the Rev. A. Boutlou carries the autograph of John Jenys, 1761 as owner. Later, on the title-page is written the name of the next owner, that is, James Morgan, 1768. This penmanship of Morgan's name matches that of the biography preceding. On the verso of the title-page is another owner's name, James Pippot, dated September, 1797. The volume also carries the bookplate stamp of the Rev. A. Boutlou, but without date.
