The Eckelberry Fellowship

The Don and Virginia Eckelberry Endowment

owl

The Don and Virginia Eckelberry Endowment for nature artists was established in 2000 to honor two distinguished artists who have devoted their careers to celebrating the diversity of the natural world through art. Their contributions have been made both by example, through the superb quality of their own creations, and by their life-long commitement to helping others pursuing careers in this important and challenging field. Proceeds from the endowment are used to grant fellowships to artists whose work might be enhanced by an opportunity to have access to museum collections and to engage in field studies.

The Eckelberry fellowships are open to painters, sculptors and graphic artists, regardles of age, sex or nationality.

For more information about the endowment and about Don Eckelberry, see the Ewell Sale Stewart Library's pages on the Eckelberry Endowment; these pages also include a similar application for the Eckelberry Fellowship.
