Volunteering at the Academy
Volunteers and Volunteering
Volunteers have been integral to the success of the Academy for more than 195 years. Almost 300 volunteers, from ages 14 to 80, contribute their time each year toward our mission. This special group of dedicated individuals can be found in the museum, research departments and offices of the Academy. Responsibilities range from engaging visitors to working with scientists. (See Volunteer Opportunities for more info.)
Consider joining them and contributing your skills and energy to this historic institution:
- Provide invaluable support for Academy research, education and operations;
- Develop new skills;
- Learn and teach others about the natural world;
- Become part of a network of fascinating people;
- Meet visitors from around the world;
- Have fun;
- Make a big difference!
