GUYANA

The Academy contracted to undertake a major biodiversity inventory of the Iwokrama Forest in Guyana. I joined the expedition in 1996 to photograph some of the birds of the rainforest. One of my favorites is the White-plumed Antbird, which gets all of its sustanance foraging for insects escaping army ant swarms.
