THE PHILIPPINES

In 1992 and 1993 I joined a team from the Cincinnati Museum of Natural History and the National Museum of the Philippines working on a biodiversity inventory of the Philippines. At a picturesque camp just below the summit of Mt. Apo, the highest mountain in the country. There I photographed the Mindanao Scops-Owl, and endangered species found only in the highlands of the island of Mindanao.
