Most of The photographs at this site were digiscoped with a Nikon Coolpix 4500 and Swarovski EL 8.5 binoculars and are of variable quality. I have attempted to take photos in as haphazard a manner as possible since it is my intent to show the normal variability of the common gull species found in the Delaware Valley. Basically while visiting a site I will take photos of whatever birds are available to be photographed or look interesting. However, since the photos are taken by birders there is likely still a bias towards individuals that resemble some other species in some aspect, so it is not a truly random sample of the variation.
