Academy Explorers Camp — Summer
Campers ages 5 to 12 can enjoy weekly sessions during July and August about flying animals, prehistoric beasts, creatures of the deep, and going green.

Join informal and interactive presentations involving live animals and museum specimens or watch nature videos on life in the garden.

Birthday Parties

Family Workshops
Create crafts using natural dyes and tools found in nature, test the sun-blocking power of sunscreen, develop your shell collecting skills, learn fossil casting, and track and identify local wild animals.

Safari Overnights
Engage in a scavenger hunt, learn about animal camouflage and dinosaur lunches, and then sleep next to lions, tigers, or Tyrannosaurus rex.

Science Live
Watch our scientist and archivists at work from 1–3 pm on most weekdays during July and August. (see Science Live)
Tiny Tot Explorers
Younger children (ages 3–4) and their favorite adults can explore nature through games, crafts, songs, and museum explorations. Tiny Tots Explorers meet from 10 am – 11 am on Wednesday during July and August.

Wild Weekends
On selected weekends and holidays during the year, families can create crafts, engage in special interactive activities, examine museum specimens, meet live animals, and see special presenations.
